We know that crimes against realtors are on the rise nationally. Everything from simple theft to rape, kidnapping and murder have been seen, and in our area of Northern California we have also seen several incidents that are a cause for concern. To combat this growing trend we have been putting on Realtor specific safety and awareness classes in Northern California, many of which have been sponsored by NORBAR, (North Bay Association of Realtors). These classes have been designed based upon a needs assessment consisting of consulting with realtors and the staff of NORBAR as well as tracking crime trends in the industry along with my 18 years of law enforcement experience. You will learn powerful and street proven crisis intervention tactics to help you deal with delusional or irrational people to give you the best possible chance to resolve conflict peacefully. You will learn about how to make proper threat assessments and how to ready physical pre-attack indicators displayed by people in crisis. You will learn how to increase your awareness to potential threats from people and the environment. This dynamic 2-hour presentation will take you on a journey that will help you to tap into your intuition and survival instincts. Avoiding danger by being able to read the environmental signals being broadcasted to us through our internal alarm systems is one of the most important elements to our survival. I will teach you how to listen better your instincts, as Gavin DeBecker says, "the gift of fear". You will also learn how your body responds to extreme stress and how to control your heart rate to keep you in the ultimate zone for combat. In addition, I will teach you simple, basic and very effective self-defense movements designed to disable an attacker quickly so you can make an escape.
